The Leavenworth Community Farmers Market (LCFM) Market Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting the Executive Director throughout market days, Thursdays and Sundays. The Cashmere Market Season runs from May-October, adding the Leavenworth Market in June - October.

 

This is an amazing opportunity to work in a beautiful setting with inspiring individuals making real change in our community through local food. The skills and relationships gained through this position will be invaluable to anyone desiring greater experience and involvement in local food systems, food access program management, customer service, and community relations. This is an excellent learning and work experience opportunity for a recent graduate. The position is part time and hourly, and answers directly to the Executive Director.


This role is primarily carried out at Markets on Thursday and Sunday, typically under the supervision of the Market Director. On occasion you may be asked to manage the Market without the Director. The Thursday Market day runs from about 1-9pm and Sunday hours are typically from 7am-2pm.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Ability to attend at least 43 out of the 46 Market days (Sundays and Thursdays)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Resident of the greater Cashmere Area
